In Japan in 2014, Sawa (Sakura Ando) works as a nursing-care helper until the family of an old man she looks after asks her to sleep with him, and she loses her job over it. With nowhere to go, she starts finding elderly people in trouble, among them Shozo Kataoka (Junkichi Orimoto) and Yoshio Makabe (Masahiko Tsugawa), and gets herself into their lives. Momoko Ando's film is about how looking after strangers can mend the one doing the looking.
