“The story of the drivers who risked their lives and the men that changed the sport forever.”

In the early decades of Formula One, whole seasons could pass with several drivers killed, and the men who climbed into those cars knew it. Michael Fassbender narrates, with Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button looking back on the people who pushed to make the sport survivable. Paul Crowder builds the film almost entirely from rare archival footage, running from the sport's early years up to Ayrton Senna's death in 1994.
