Django (Gianni Garko) is a bounty hunter who wants money, and a landowner's offer to bring back his kidnapped daughter Mijanou (Loredana Nusciak) is the biggest he has seen. Romolo Guerrieri sends him after the kidnapper Manuel Vasquez (Claudio Camaso), whose gang he ends up riding with instead of against. Django and Manuel circle each other with a wary, borrowed trust, the kind two men keep only while it pays.
