In Paris, a seminar is being held on the true weight of a kilo, and Norwegian scientist Marie (Ane Dahl Torp) has come to attend it. Bent Hamer sets her among the careful instruments and measured talk of the delegates, a woman used to numbers who is also carrying disappointment, grief and love. Marie has to decide which of those she can weigh, and which measurements she will go on living by.
