12 Angry Men
“It explodes like 12 sticks of dynamite!”
Twelve jurors file into a small room to decide whether a young Spanish-American is guilty of murdering his father. The case looks open and shut, and a first vote nearly proves it, until one man hesitates and the others have to say why they are so sure. Sidney Lumet, in his first feature, keeps them in that one room, and Juror 3 (Lee J. Cobb) and Juror 4 (E.G. Marshall) each argue from a different kind of certainty, neither willing to hear the other.
