13 Assassins

“A group of assassins come together for a suicide mission to kill an evil lord.”

In feudal Japan, the Shogun's younger brother is about to be promoted to a high post, though he is known for rape and murder that the authorities have buried. Shinzaemon Shimada (Chiezo Kataoka) takes the job nobody expects to survive, gathering twelve men to kill the lord before the appointment. Eiichi Kudō follows Shinzaemon as he sets himself against Hanbei Onigashira (Ryōhei Uchida), a rival strategist sworn to protect the man Shinzaemon means to cut down.
