13 Going on 30

“For some, 13 feels like it was just yesterday. For Jenna, it was.”

Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner) is a girl whose thirteenth birthday party goes so badly that she wishes she could skip ahead to thirty. The wish comes true overnight, and she wakes in a grown woman's body, with a dream job, an athlete boyfriend, and a closet full of clothes she has never seen. Gary Winick keeps Jenna wide-eyed and out of her depth, a kid in a stranger's life, still wanting to be liked.
