18 Days

A tailor (Ahmed Helmy), a man named Essam (Amr Waked), and a woman called Mona (Mona Zaki) each carry their own private trouble into the same eighteen days in Egypt in 2011. Ten directors, among them Yousry Nasrallah and Kamla Abu Zekry, each made one short film from an event they lived through, a story they heard secondhand, or a scene they imagined. The stories are small and separate, and every one is set while a country decides whether it can keep going as it is.
