1917

“Time is the enemy.”

Lance Corporal Schofield (George MacKay) is a young British soldier in April 1917, pulled from a quiet moment and handed an order he did not expect. With Lance Corporal Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman), he has to cross enemy ground and deliver a message that will stop an attack on hundreds of men. Sam Mendes sends the two of them out together, and Blake's own brother is among the soldiers waiting at the other end.
