“In another time, at another place…”

Adrian (Cory Michael Smith) is a closeted advertising executive who comes back to his Texas hometown after three years away, carrying news he hasn't found a way to say aloud. At the house, his mother Eileen (Virginia Madsen) and father Dale (Michael Chiklis) are glad to see him, and neither asks the questions he dreads. Yen Tan keeps the family close and the conversations small, so what lies between Adrian and his parents grows louder with every meal they share.
