“The first to die were the lucky ones!”

A policeman, Hammer (Vic Morrow), pushes into the Bronx, now a wrecked battleground split between several murderous street gangs. Enzo G. Castellari sends him through the borough alongside Trash (Mark Gregory), the young leader of the Riders, and Hot Dog (Christopher Connelly). Fred Williamson's Ogre rules one corner of the ruins, and the film keeps its Bronx a place of burned-out blocks and gray streets with no one in charge.
