Robert Trench (Denzel Washington) and Michael Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) are undercover operatives who discover they work for different agencies when a joint operation goes sideways and they steal two million dollars from a bank. Now they're running from corrupt officials, a cartel boss named Papi Greco (Edward James Olmos), and each other's handlers. What holds them together through the chaos is the only person either of them can trust.
