20 Million Miles to Earth

“Space nightmares!”

A rocket back from Venus crash-lands in the Mediterranean off a small Italian fishing village, and the locals pull Colonel Robert Calder (William Hopper) out of the water alive. A boy on the shore finds a specimen of alien life, which starts growing at a fantastic rate. Nathan Juran stages its escape toward Rome with Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion, while Calder finds himself drawn to Marisa Leonardo (Joan Taylor), the granddaughter of the doctor who treats him.
