“You are what THEY eat!”

Harper Alexander (Giuseppe Andrews) and a carload of college kids on the way to Spring Break take a detour through an old Southern town. The people of Pleasant Valley, led by Mayor Buckman (Robert Englund), insist they stay for the annual barbecue celebration. Tim Sullivan, remaking the 1964 Herschell Gordon Lewis picture, puts the visitors at a long table where the hosts' smiles never quite match the welcome.
