“The fight for the future has begun.”
A radio signal reaches Ethan Whyte (Kodi Smit-McPhee), a utility worker, and it carries a summons to the future. Seth Larney sends him on the journey with Jude Mathers (Ryan Kwanten), the man who relays the call, and the aim is to change reality and save humankind from an environmental crisis. Ethan has to go while his wife lies dying, and leaving her costs him more than the trip does.
