“Your life can change in an instant.”

Officer Mike Chandler (Nicolas Cage) is giving a young civilian a ride-along when a bank robbery by heavily armed, highly trained men begins within reach of his patrol car. The story is loosely based on the 1997 North Hollywood shootout, one of the longest and bloodiest in American police history. York Alec Shackleton keeps Chandler and the passenger in the same cramped front seat while the odds turn against them, and each depends on the other to get through it.
