Ram (Dhanush) and Janani (Shruti Haasan) meet as high school sweethearts and eventually marry. Then Ram takes his own life without warning, and Janani is left with a loss she cannot make sense of. Aishwarya Rajinikanth, in her first film as director, follows Janani as she searches for the reason behind his death, and the love the two shared is the only thing she has to go on.
