Peter (Tom Selleck), Michael (Steve Guttenberg) and Jack (Ted Danson) have helped raise Mary (Robin Weisman) alongside her mother, Sylvia (Nancy Travis). When Sylvia's work keeps taking her away and she decides to move to England with her daughter, the three men have to face losing the two people they love most. Emile Ardolino's film stays with the men and the little girl, the toys and the shared home they are about to leave behind.
