“Prepare for glory!”

King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) rules Sparta in 480 B.C., and he marches out with only 300 men to meet the Persian king Xerxes and an army of more than 300,000. Back home, Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) works to win over a council that doesn't want to send help. Zack Snyder adapts Frank Miller's graphic novel panel by panel, painting the whole battle in stylized, saturated color.
