“Everything comes full circle”

A British businessman weighs a rendezvous with a prostitute, his wife ends things with her younger lover, and a recovering alcoholic (Anthony Hopkins) flies to Phoenix looking for his missing daughter. None of these people know each other, yet each choice passes into someone else's life. Fernando Meirelles follows Rose (Rachel Weisz) and Michael Daly (Jude Law) as two people the film keeps circling, a marriage held together by what each does not say.
