50/50

“It takes a pair to beat the odds.”

Adam Lerner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is 27, careful about everything, and a doctor tells him the ache in his back is cancer. His best friend Kyle (Seth Rogen) makes jokes about it and tries to use it to get them both dates. Jonathan Levine builds the film on a true story from writer Will Reiser's life, and Adam is left to face a diagnosis with odds close to a coin flip.
