“Failure has a new overachiever”

A Quick-Lube is where Larry (Jason Schwartzman) lands after a long run of drinking and pranks leaves him with no qualifications and no other options. He vacuums cars and washes windshields beside hostile co-workers, with his dog Arrow and his grandmother (Olympia Dukakis) in the background. Bob Byington lets Larry fall for his boss, Lupe (Eleanore Pienta), and she is the one person there who seems to see past the mess.
