7 Husbands for Hurmuz

In the Taşkasap quarter of Istanbul in the late 1800s, Hürmüz (Nurgül Yeşilçay) has solved her money troubles by marrying six men and giving each his own day of the week. Her friend and go-between Safinaz (Gülse Birsel) keeps the calendar straight, until Hürmüz meets the town doctor in a barber's chair and a seventh man enters her thoughts. Ezel Akay stages the whole thing as a musical, with songs breaking out in the middle of the story.
