Gary Hook (Jack O'Connell) is a new recruit, sent to Belfast in 1971, who gets left behind by his own unit when a street riot breaks apart around them. Now he has to make it back to his barracks on foot, through neighborhoods where nobody can be trusted and a British uniform marks him. Yann Demange shoots the chase at a run, close on O'Connell's face, so the fear stays in the frame.
