8 Million Ways to Die

“Death comes to all except those who deserve it most.”

Matt Scudder (Jeff Bridges) is a Sheriff's Department detective who shoots a violent suspect during a narcotics raid, and he cannot put it down. The drinking gets worse until it costs him his badge and his marriage. Hal Ashby follows him into the aftermath, where a call girl named Sunny (Alexandra Paul) turns to him for help, and Scudder finds the one thing worth staying sober for.
