8x10 Tasveer

“He has the power to see the past.”

Jai Puri (Akshay Kumar) is a forest ranger in Alberta who can step inside a photograph and live the moment through the eyes of someone in the frame. When his father's death is put down to natural causes, he starts pulling old pictures apart, one image at a time, looking for what the official story left out. Nagesh Kukunoor shoots the Canadian wilderness in wide, cold frames and lets the photographs themselves set the pace.
