“When our world ended, their mission began.”

A rag doll called 9 (Elijah Wood) wakes alone in a ruined world where machines have destroyed humanity. He finds others like him, small fabric creatures led by the severe 1 (Christopher Plummer), who have survived by hiding. As 9 pushes to venture into the toxic wasteland and fight back, he learns that some kinds of resistance demand a cost that cannot be unmade.
