Ram Krishnamoorthy (Vijay Sethupathi), a photographer who travels India capturing moments, stops in his hometown of Tanjavur and finds himself walking through his old school. The visit pulls him back to 1994, when he was a student with feelings he never settled for his classmate Janu (Trisha Krishnan). C. Prem Kumar builds the class of 1996 reunion around the two of them, twenty-two years on, and the younger pair who first stood in those classrooms.
