“99 WOMEN... behind bars -- without men!”

On an island prison, a new inmate named Marie (Maria Rohm) enters a place of drugs, forced prostitution and constant cruelty. Jesús Franco, working on one of the earliest and most commercially successful women-in-prison films, keeps the women crowded behind the same walls under Governor Santos (Herbert Lom). When the prisoners make a break, they learn that getting out may be as dangerous as staying.
