A Bag of Hammers

“A con is easy. Family is hard.”

Ben Dwellman (Jason Ritter) and Alan Manilow (Jake Sandvig) are two best friends who never quite grew up and who get by on a small con at funerals. Their routine is upended by Kelsey Patterson (Chandler Canterbury), an abandoned boy who seems older than his years. Brian Crano keeps the film small and close to its people, and Johnny Flynn's folk songs carry the rest.
