A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

“Neighbor. Icon. Friend.”

Lloyd Vogel (Matthew Rhys) is an award-winning magazine writer with a reputation for taking people apart, and he takes the job of profiling the children's television host Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks) only because it lands on his desk. Marielle Heller sends him to meet a man who answers every sharp question with patient, unhurried kindness. Lloyd has a strained history with his father, Jerry (Chris Cooper), and he keeps waiting for the act to crack.
