A Big Hand for the Little Lady

(1966)Directed by Fielder Cook95 minWestern
“All the action you can take...all the adventure you can wish for!”

In Laredo, Meredith (Henry Fonda) sits down at a poker table with the richest men in the area, though he came to town only to settle his family in San Antonio. Every dollar he has saved for that is on the table, and Mary (Joanne Woodward) is there beside him. Fielder Cook plays it out among the big names around the table, among them Henry Drummond (Jason Robards) and C.P. Ballinger (Paul Ford), while the pot builds and Meredith holds his cards.
