A Brand New Life

Jin-hee (Kim Sae-ron), a young girl, is left at an orphanage by her father (Sul Kyung-gu), and nobody there will tell her why or when he is coming back. She keeps waiting anyway, among the other children, and her friendship with Sook-hee (Park Do-yeon) is the only thing that moves. Ounie Lecomte, herself a Korean adoptee raised in France, watches Jin-hee settle into the dormitory, the narrow beds in rows and the new girl sitting up in hers.
