A Breed Apart

“One man protects a secret. The other tries to steal it. And only one woman can stop them from destroying each other. Together they are... a breed apart.”

Jim Malden (Rutger Hauer) is a conservationist who lives alone on an island, watching over the last nesting pair of bald eagles in the area. A collector sends Mike Walker (Powers Boothe), a mountain climber, to steal the eggs, and he ends up meeting Stella Clayton (Kathleen Turner), a widow who lives on the island. Philippe Mora films the island in bleached light and rough grain, so the story has the grit of a 70s picture.
