A Brighter Tomorrow

Giovanni (Nanni Moretti) cannot say what is wrong with the film he is shooting. It is about a Hungarian circus stranded in Rome during the 1956 uprising, and the more he watches it come together, the less he likes it. Moretti keeps Giovanni's marriage to his producer, Paola (Margherita Buy), at the center, two people who have worked side by side for decades and now have to talk about ending it.
