A Bug's Life

(1998)Directed by John Lasseter95 min · GAdventure, Animation, Comedy, Family
“An epic of miniature proportions.”

An ant colony spends its days gathering food for a pile of grasshoppers who show up to collect it. Flik (Dave Foley), an inventor the other ants consider a nuisance, slips away to hire warrior bugs to fight for them. John Lasseter's film plays like an old fable about who does the work and who takes it, with Hopper (Kevin Spacey) standing for everyone who has ever been pushed around.
