“Old Evil is coming to collect the bride.”

A tax collector takes shelter for the night in a ruined temple, and the woman he meets there is beautiful and gentle, and dead. Tony Ching Siu-tung follows Ling Choi-san (Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing) as he falls for Lip Siu Sin (Joey Wong), then turns to the Daoist swordsman Yin Chek-ha (Wu Ma) for help against the Tree Demon and the undead. Love for a ghost is the only thing Ling has to fight with.
