A Christmas Story

(1983)Directed by Bob Clark93 min · PGComedy, Family
“A tribute to the original, traditional, one-hundred-percent, red-blooded, two-fisted, all-American Christmas.”

In 1940, a few weeks before Christmas, nine-year-old Ralphie (Peter Billingsley) wants one thing: a Red Ryder B.B. gun. Every adult he asks, his mother (Melinda Dillon), his teacher, even the department-store Santa, gives him the same answer about shooting his eye out. Bob Clark builds the film from Jean Shepherd's memories, and Ralphie keeps up his campaign anyway, his hope for that rifle stubbornly intact.
