Stan (Stan Laurel) and Ollie (Oliver Hardy) take jobs as a butler and a maid for a dinner party, with Stan in a dress. When that goes badly, they sweep streets instead, and end up catching a bank robber by accident. Alfred J. Goulding sends the grateful bank president's reward their way, a place at Oxford, where the two arrive as the oldest and least prepared students on campus.
