“Happily ever after begins with a dream.”

It's the Christmas season, and Kat Decker (Laura Marano) spends it in an elf costume at Santa Land, the holiday park owned by billionaire Terrence Wintergarden, singing for crowds while she dreams of writing songs of her own. At home, her stepmother Deirdra (Johannah Newmarch) and stepsister Joy (Lillian Doucet-Roche) keep her small. Michelle Johnston builds a musical about wanting to be heard before anyone is willing to listen.
