A Confucian Confusion

“Don't you break my heart?”

Over three days and two nights in Taipei, a group of young friends, lovers and acquaintances keep crossing each other's paths. Edward Yang follows Molly (Joyce Ni Shu-Chun) and Qiqi (Chen Shiang-Chyi) among the men and women whose lives overlap in the city, none of them quite certain what they want. Each meeting sets two people against each other's hopes, and the ones who care most are the ones who talk past each other.
