“Its laughter will ring through the centuries!”

In 528 A.D., a 1905 auto mechanic named Hank Martin (Bing Crosby) wakes up in Arthur's England after a bump on the head. Befriended by Sir Sagramore (William Bendix), he finds that a little modern technology goes a long way at the court of King Arthur (Cedric Hardwicke). Tay Garnett sets Hank's love for the king's niece Alisande (Rhonda Fleming) against a kingdom that has never seen a mechanic.
