A Day in Court

The morning docket at a Roman court is already full when Pretore Salomone Lo Russo (Peppino De Filippo) takes his seat, and the cases come in one after another. Steno lines up the defendants, among them Nando Mericoni (Alberto Sordi), Luisa (Silvana Pampanini) and Anna (Sophia Loren), each with a petty offense and a version of events. Lo Russo hears them all out, a tired magistrate trying to be fair.
