“Some friendships transcend lifetimes.”

Bailey, a dog who has already lived more than one life, wants to understand what he is here to do. His answer lies with Clarity June "CJ" Mitchell (Kathryn Prescott), the baby girl of Gloria Mitchell (Betty Gilpin), whom he promises to look after, and Ethan Montgomery (Dennis Quaid) and Hannah (Marg Helgenberger) are the people he has loved before. Gail Mancuso's film puts loyalty first, and a dog's purpose turns out to be staying close to the people who need him.
