A Family

“I didn't have a father or a mother, but I had a family.”

Kenji Yamamoto (Go Ayano) was taken in by a yakuza clan as a boy, and as a young man he swears himself to its old-school boss, Hiroshi Shibasaki (Hiroshi Tachi). Michihito Fujii follows him through years in which the code he pledged to keep sits uneasily with a world that no longer has room for it. The clan is the only family Kenji has, and every year he stays loyal, it costs him more of the life outside.
