A Far Off Place

“A far off land. A far off journey. A far off adventure.”

Nonnie Parker (Reese Witherspoon) and Harry Winslow (Ethan Embry) are teenagers on a game reserve in Africa when their parents are killed by a poacher, leaving a desert in front of them. They set out across the Kalahari with Xhabbo (Sarel Bok), a bushman who knows how to find water. Mikael Salomon follows the three over sun-baked ground, and the film is mostly about the trust that builds between two strangers.
