A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night

“The first Iranian Vampire Western.”

A lonesome vampire (Sheila Vand) walks the empty streets of Bad City, an Iranian ghost town where a pimp, a junkie and a prostitute go about their business unaware she is watching them. Ana Lily Amirpour shoots it in black and white, with a Persian-language script and a Western's patience. Then Arash (Arash Marandi), a young man living nearby, crosses her path, and the two of them begin to circle each other.
