A Good Marriage

In 1982 France, Sabine (Béatrice Romand), an art history student, ends things with her married lover and decides to find a husband. Her friend Clarisse (Arielle Dombasle) introduces her to her cousin Edmond (André Dussollier), a single Paris lawyer who is busy and shows little interest. Éric Rohmer tracks Sabine's pursuit of him, and the film treats wanting to be married as a plan one person can make alone.
