“Everything matures... eventually.”

A London banker named Max Skinner (Russell Crowe) comes down to Provence after his uncle Henry (Albert Finney) dies and leaves him the family vineyard, the same house where Max spent boyhood summers. Ridley Scott keeps the old stone and the dry heat close, and Max arrives meaning to sell. Then Christie Roberts (Abbie Cornish) turns up from California, saying she is Henry's daughter and the place is hers.
