A Happy Event

Barbara (Louise Bourgoin) is about to become a mother, and no one told her what it would do to her. Pregnancy and then the baby push her toward love, sacrifice, tenderness and the urge to abandon it all, and she keeps asking why nobody ever talks about this. Rémi Bezançon films Barbara and Nicolas (Pio Marmaï) with a frankness that leaves out nothing, the awkward parts included.
